What made this hard
Tournament software has to hold up on the day of an event, when registration, bracket progression, and live scoring all happen at once and mistakes are visible to everyone watching.
Our approach
How we built it
- Built the portal in Next.js with server rendering, so tournament pages, player profiles, and results are indexable and load quickly for spectators.
- Implemented registration and bracket management as a single system, so entries flow into draws without manual re-entry.
- Added live scoring designed for fast in-match updates and for spectators following remotely.
