What made this hard

A continental governing body's portal is a system of record. Rankings need to be authoritative, schedules span countries and time zones, and traffic concentrates heavily during championship weeks.

Our approach

How we built it

• Built the portal in PHP, matching the hosting and maintenance constraints the confederation already operated under.
• Implemented a ranking system that carries results through to standings without manual recalculation.
• Added live streaming and schedule infrastructure so remote spectators can follow events as they happen.
